October 8, 2013

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 2013-- Xylem Inc. (NYSE:XYL), a leading global water technology company focused on addressing the world’s most challenging water issues, has launched its Goulds Water Technology® brand e-HM series stainless-steel, horizontal multistage pump, a water pump for commercial and industrial applications that is up to 30 percent more efficient than most similar pumps available today.

Pumping water in production-oriented applications such as washing, cleaning, food and beverage processing, and large-scale refrigeration, is energy intensive, impacting both resource use and operational expenses. The e-HM pump offers best-in-class efficiency, a broad hydraulic range, and a variety of configuration options that enables users to customize the pump to meet their specific needs, while simultaneously improving performance and reducing carbon dioxide emissions as well as costs.

“Our customers seek total system solutions,” said Ken Napolitano, president of Xylem’s Applied Water Systems business. “Xylem’s broad portfolio, global footprint and specialized expertise in industrial applications collectively deliver improved energy and operational savings, as well as strong local support and service. Our new eHM product, with its innovative hydraulic and mechanical design, is the latest example of this type of solution.”

The e-HM pump is available in two pump designs and offers a small footprint for compact spaces. It can be custom-configured for a wide range of applications, including chillers, heating, air conditioning and vehicle washing.
