Xylem Inc. declares Q3 2012 dividend of 10.12 cents per share; announces two million share repurchase program

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 2012-- The Board of Directors of Xylem Inc. (NYSE: XYL) has declared a third quarter dividend of $0.1012 per share payable on September 19, 2012 to shareholders of record on August 27, 2012. Xylem is a leading global provider of technology to transport, treat and test water in public utility, building services, industrial and agricultural settings.

The Board also authorized the repurchase of up to two million shares of common stock with no expiration date. The program’s objective is to offset dilution associated with various Xylem employee stock plans by acquiring shares in the open market from time to time.
