Xylem honored for sustainable impact on helping solve water throughout Asia and around the world

Company receives Gold Standard Award in Corporate Citizenship for excellence in providing and protecting safe water resources for communities in need

RYE BROOK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 2013-- Xylem Inc. (NYSE:XYL), a leading global water technology company focused on addressing the world’s most challenging water issues, has been recognized with the Gold Standard Award for Corporate Citizenship by PublicAffairsAsia for Xylem Watermark, the company’s global corporate citizenship and social investment program

The Gold Standard Award for Corporate Citizenship identifies excellence for the development of a corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability or good governance project that enhances corporate reputation. Xylem Watermark, whose mission is to provide and protect clean water resources around the world, was selected for its strong nonprofit partnerships, record of impactful emergency response and capacity building, employee engagement in the field, and dedication to providing sustainable solutions to communities in need.

In addition, the program has helped raise more than $2 million dollars to support Xylem Watermark’s nonprofit partners.
